At 44.5 cm high and 18 cm in diameter, it adds vertical presence without a broad shade. An adjustable chain and three light-temperature options let you plan both the hanging position and the atmosphere.
Design & Materials
The details that give Aurelia its character
The faceted roof, vertical supports and tapered lower section draw the eye along the body. The decorative finial completes the outline, making Aurelia particularly suited to entrances with room for a taller hanging feature.
Die-cast aluminium provides the frame, finished in sandblasted black. Clear glass balances the dark metalwork and leaves the light source visible, pairing naturally with brick, stone or timber.
Dimensions
Plan for the body height and the hanging position
Aurelia’s lantern body is 44.5 cm high and 18 cm in diameter. The adjustable chain suspension extends up to 150 cm above the body and does not include the lantern height. Use the approved chart to plan clearance below the complete fixture, including its lower finial.

A bulb is included. Select your preferred light temperature when ordering. Scenes with three lanterns illustrate a repeated installation; order the number of fixtures needed for your project.

The visible bulb illuminates the clear enclosure while the black frame keeps its outline. Choose a Warm, Neutral or Cool option to suit the feel of your entrance and neighbouring fixtures. These are separate purchase options, rather than selectable settings on one lantern.

Carry a classic outline through your outdoor spaces
Aurelia works as an arrival feature beneath a generous porch ceiling or as a repeated accent above covered dining. The dedicated inspiration scenes show it with timber, masonry and weatherboards so you can judge the design against your own architecture.
Use the tall lantern as a focal point where there is enough headroom beneath the complete fitting.
Coordinate the black frame with doors, railings and traditional exterior details.
Repeat the design over a covered table when ceiling spacing and clearance allow.
Outdoor Performance
IP65 protection for suitable exterior placement
Aurelia carries an IP65 rating for protection against dust ingress and water jets. It is designed for suitable outdoor positions at entrances, verandahs and covered patios. Ensure that the ceiling mounting and electrical connection suit the selected exterior location.
Installation
Set the hanging position before fitting
Aurelia operates on 110–240V and requires hardwired ceiling mounting. Establish the chain length during installation, allowing for the complete 44.5 cm body beneath it. Check the ceiling connection, supporting surface and clearance for doors and people passing below.
Have a suitably qualified electrician complete installation in accordance with local electrical requirements. Confirm the permitted replacement bulb and wattage before changing the light source, and check compatibility before adding dimming controls.
Care
Care for the finish and shade
Switch off power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry or lightly dampened cloth on the frame and clear glass. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners.

Heitz’s 1-year warranty policy provides 12 months of coverage from delivery for eligible manufacturing defects, subject to its installation scope and exclusions. Please confirm outdoor-installation coverage with support@heitz.shop before relying on that cover for this fitting.
For help with a fault, email your order number, a short description and clear photos or a video. Your statutory consumer rights are not limited by the warranty.

Front Door & Porch Lights
Common Questions
Wall lights are ideal beside a front door or on a porch with limited ceiling height. A hanging pendant creates a stronger focal point beneath a covered porch with sufficient overhead clearance. Consider the available mounting point, door swing and walking space before choosing.
Choose a fitting that feels proportional to the door and surrounding wall. A compact lantern suits a narrow entrance, while a larger wall light or pendant can balance a wide doorway or taller porch. Check the full height, width and projection shown on each product page before ordering.
Porch wall lights are commonly positioned with the centre of the fitting around eye level, approximately 165–180 cm above the ground. For a pair, keep both lights at the same height. Your installer can adjust the position to suit the door, steps and proportions of the entrance.
The right IP rating depends on exposure. A fitting beneath a fully covered porch may require less protection than one mounted where wind-driven rain can reach it. Check the IP rating and outdoor-use guidance on the individual product page, and choose a higher level of protection for exposed entrances.
Warm white light, generally around 2700K–3000K, creates a soft and welcoming feel around a front door. Cooler light can appear brighter and more functional, but may feel less relaxed. Always confirm the colour-temperature option available for the selected fitting.
Yes. A motion-sensor light can illuminate the entrance automatically when someone approaches, making it easier to find keys and improving visibility for visitors. If you want the porch illuminated continuously in the evening, choose a non-sensor model or check whether the sensor settings can be adjusted.
Most hardwired wall and hanging porch lights should be installed by a qualified electrician. They can confirm that the wiring, mounting point, ceiling support where required, earthing and weatherproof seals are suitable for safe outdoor use.
