CharcoalGlow | Stylish Black Outdoor Wall Lantern with Clear Glass
Outdoor Wall Lighting
Give your entrance a distinctive outline
Bring character to your entrance with CharcoalGlow. Its sandblasted black frame surrounds clear cylindrical glass, letting the visible bulb become part of the design. The defined silhouette suits both classic doorways and contemporary exteriors, creating a welcoming focal point beside your door.
Design & Materials
Curved glass, a defined black frame
A rounded glass enclosure sits inside the straight-sided frame, bringing soft curves and defined edges together. Clear glass leaves the bulb visible, so its appearance contributes to the finished look both in daylight and when illuminated.
Stainless steel and aluminium form the structure, finished in sandblasted black. The pitched roof and top loop retain the character of a traditional lantern, while the simpler frame coordinates with dark doors, window frames and exterior hardware.
Dimensions
Plan the fit beside your doorway
CharcoalGlow measures 36.5 cm high and 21.5 cm wide, with an 18 cm projection from the wall. Measure the available wall area, check the door's opening path and allow for the full projection wherever people pass nearby.

Lighting Character
Choose the atmosphere at your entrance
The clear glass keeps the central bulb visible as part of the design. Select the light-temperature option that suits how you use the space; all three options share the same lantern design and dimensions.
The warm-lit images illustrate the warm-light appearance. Neutral and cool options will have a different light colour.
Placement Inspiration
Find its place around your home
CharcoalGlow's black outline contrasts with pale masonry and coordinates with darker exterior details. Use the same design around suitable exterior walls for a consistent look.
These scenes show installation ideas for entrances, patios and exterior passages. Each option includes one lantern; order the quantity needed for your space.
Outdoor Performance
Protection for exterior settings
CharcoalGlow carries an IP65 rating for protection against dust ingress and water jets. This supports its use around outdoor entrances, patios, verandas and exterior walls. The rating describes the fitting's ingress protection; it is not an immersion rating.
Installation
Plan a permanent wall installation
CharcoalGlow operates on 110–240V and is designed for vertical wall mounting with a hardwired mains connection. Plan the mounting position around the fixture's full dimensions and the wall surface.
Installation by a qualified electrician. Have the fitting installed in accordance with local electrical requirements.
Care
Keep the frame and glass looking their best
Switch off the power before cleaning. Wipe the frame and glass gently with a soft, dry or lightly dampened cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners.

Front Door & Porch Lights
Common Questions
Wall lights are ideal beside a front door or on a porch with limited ceiling height. A hanging pendant creates a stronger focal point beneath a covered porch with sufficient overhead clearance. Consider the available mounting point, door swing and walking space before choosing.
Choose a fitting that feels proportional to the door and surrounding wall. A compact lantern suits a narrow entrance, while a larger wall light or pendant can balance a wide doorway or taller porch. Check the full height, width and projection shown on each product page before ordering.
Porch wall lights are commonly positioned with the centre of the fitting around eye level, approximately 165–180 cm above the ground. For a pair, keep both lights at the same height. Your installer can adjust the position to suit the door, steps and proportions of the entrance.
The right IP rating depends on exposure. A fitting beneath a fully covered porch may require less protection than one mounted where wind-driven rain can reach it. Check the IP rating and outdoor-use guidance on the individual product page, and choose a higher level of protection for exposed entrances.
Warm white light, generally around 2700K–3000K, creates a soft and welcoming feel around a front door. Cooler light can appear brighter and more functional, but may feel less relaxed. Always confirm the colour-temperature option available for the selected fitting.
Yes. A motion-sensor light can illuminate the entrance automatically when someone approaches, making it easier to find keys and improving visibility for visitors. If you want the porch illuminated continuously in the evening, choose a non-sensor model or check whether the sensor settings can be adjusted.
Most hardwired wall and hanging porch lights should be installed by a qualified electrician. They can confirm that the wiring, mounting point, ceiling support where required, earthing and weatherproof seals are suitable for safe outdoor use.
