A note before you buy — The motion sensor is a choice, not a given: four versions have it and four do not, so check which you have selected before you order. On the sensor versions the light comes on by itself at night when someone moves within 2–6 metres across a 120° arc, and switches off again once they leave. The bar rotates 350° on its bracket after fitting, so you can wash the wall upward, drop the light onto a doorstep, or split the difference. Every width is 16 cm tall and projects 13 cm, so only the length changes, but brightness does not — output climbs from 249 lumens on the 20 cm to 2000 on the 50 cm, so pick the width for the light you need rather than the space you have. The LED is integrated and included in warm white, and it is not dimmable. All dimensions are hand-measured and may vary by 1–3cm. For the best and safest result, professional installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.

Pillar or post-cap lights can mark the entrance, while wall lights and bollards help illuminate gates, boundary walls and the route towards the property. Combining these at a consistent colour temperature creates clear guidance without flooding the entire driveway.
Driveway lighting should provide enough visibility for vehicles and pedestrians without creating glare for drivers, neighbours or the road. Several well-spaced, lower-output fittings often produce a safer and more balanced result than one very bright light.
Place lights where they identify the entrance, gate controls, pedestrian access and any changes in level. Keep fittings outside vehicle turning areas and clear of moving gates, hinges and door-opening zones.
Yes, if the fence is strong enough to support the fitting and the light is suitable for outdoor use. Check the mounting-base size, projection and cable requirements, and avoid positions where the fitting could obstruct gates or be easily struck.
Motion sensors can provide light only when a vehicle or person approaches, which is useful for entrances and darker sections of a drive. Choose a model with a detection range and direction suited to the space to reduce unwanted activation from the road or neighbouring areas.
Solar lights are convenient where cabling is difficult, but require sufficient daylight and may vary with the season. Hardwired fittings provide more consistent output and are generally better when reliable nightly illumination is important.
Hardwired fittings should be installed by a qualified electrician. They can plan protected cable routes, safe connections, earthing and weatherproof seals while keeping the installation clear of vehicles and moving gate components.
