The details that give Portiva its character
The pitched glazed roof and shaped lower rim give Portiva detail without a wide fixture body. Vertical supports outline the clear panes, leaving the bulb visible through the enclosure.
A die-cast aluminium frame in sandblasted black introduces contrast against pale render, brick or weatherboards. Clear glass keeps the interior visually open in daylight as well as when illuminated.

A compact body with separately adjustable suspension
Portiva measures 31.5 cm high through the lantern body and 18 cm in diameter. Its chain suspension adjusts up to 150 cm above the lantern; this is separate from the body height. Check both measurements when setting the final hanging position, allowing for door movement and headroom.

Clear glass keeps the bulb visible inside the black frame. Choose a separate Warm, Neutral or Cool option to coordinate with nearby lighting. These are individual purchase options, rather than three adjustable settings on one fitting.

Portiva’s compact proportions work beneath porch ceilings and along verandahs. The inspiration scenes pair it with a covered dining terrace, brick entrance and weatherboard porch, showing how one design can connect several exterior spaces.

Outdoor Performance
IP65 protection for suitable exterior placement
Portiva carries an IP65 rating for protection against dust ingress and water jets. It suits appropriate exterior positions at entrances, verandahs and covered patios. The mains connection and mounting surface must also be suitable for the installation.
Installation
Set the hanging position before fitting
This 110–240V mains-powered lantern requires hardwired ceiling mounting. Adjust the chain during installation and account for the 31.5 cm lantern body below it. Check the ceiling surface, door swing and clearance beneath the complete fitting.
Have a suitably qualified electrician complete installation in accordance with local electrical requirements. Confirm the permitted replacement bulb and wattage before changing the light source, and check compatibility before adding dimming controls.
Care
Care for the finish and shade
Switch off power before cleaning. Wipe the frame and glass with a soft, dry or lightly dampened cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners.

Heitz’s 1-year warranty policy provides 12 months of coverage from delivery for eligible manufacturing defects, subject to its installation scope and exclusions. Please confirm outdoor-installation coverage with support@heitz.shop before relying on that cover for this fitting.
For help with a fault, email your order number, a short description and clear photos or a video. Your statutory consumer rights are not limited by the warranty.

Front Door & Porch Lights
Common Questions
Wall lights are ideal beside a front door or on a porch with limited ceiling height. A hanging pendant creates a stronger focal point beneath a covered porch with sufficient overhead clearance. Consider the available mounting point, door swing and walking space before choosing.
Choose a fitting that feels proportional to the door and surrounding wall. A compact lantern suits a narrow entrance, while a larger wall light or pendant can balance a wide doorway or taller porch. Check the full height, width and projection shown on each product page before ordering.
Porch wall lights are commonly positioned with the centre of the fitting around eye level, approximately 165–180 cm above the ground. For a pair, keep both lights at the same height. Your installer can adjust the position to suit the door, steps and proportions of the entrance.
The right IP rating depends on exposure. A fitting beneath a fully covered porch may require less protection than one mounted where wind-driven rain can reach it. Check the IP rating and outdoor-use guidance on the individual product page, and choose a higher level of protection for exposed entrances.
Warm white light, generally around 2700K–3000K, creates a soft and welcoming feel around a front door. Cooler light can appear brighter and more functional, but may feel less relaxed. Always confirm the colour-temperature option available for the selected fitting.
Yes. A motion-sensor light can illuminate the entrance automatically when someone approaches, making it easier to find keys and improving visibility for visitors. If you want the porch illuminated continuously in the evening, choose a non-sensor model or check whether the sensor settings can be adjusted.
Most hardwired wall and hanging porch lights should be installed by a qualified electrician. They can confirm that the wiring, mounting point, ceiling support where required, earthing and weatherproof seals are suitable for safe outdoor use.
