An inviting patio
Solvienne brings fine vertical texture to a patio or garden seating area. Its cylindrical lantern is framed in black, with clear ribbed panels around the light source. Two compact formats and a taller pedestal format provide different proportions for outdoor arrangements.
Stainless steel, glass and acrylic create a layered lantern with a black frame and clear exterior panels.
The 120 cm version raises the illuminated cylinder on an open stand. The shorter versions sit closer to the supporting surface.

IP65-rated construction suits appropriate outdoor positions; the fixture must not be immersed.

Ribbed panels create fine lines around the illuminated cylinder. Dual Colour Temperature offers two light-colour settings, letting you change the atmosphere around your seating area.

Outdoor Performance
Protection for outdoor placement
IP65-rated for outdoor use. Position the fixture away from areas subject to submersion or standing water. This rating does not establish coastal salt resistance or a particular operating-temperature range.
Installation
Prepare the power and placement
Place or secure the fixture on a stable, suitable surface where its solar panel receives direct sunlight. Solar charging and operating time depend on sunlight, season and the selected settings. Keep it clear of standing water.
Care
Care for the materials
Switch off before cleaning. Wipe the body and diffuser with a soft, lightly dampened cloth, then dry. Avoid abrasive pads, solvents and soaking. Keep the solar panel on solar versions free of dirt and debris.

Common Questions
A layered approach usually works best. Wall lights or pendants can provide the main ambient light, while post, step or low-level fittings help define edges and routes. Choose fixtures that suit the available mounting points and provide enough visibility without overpowering the space.
Choose warm, diffused or downward-directed light and avoid placing very bright fittings directly at seated eye level. Spreading several lower-output lights around the area often creates a softer and more balanced result than relying on one powerful fixture.
The required IP rating depends on exposure. A fitting beneath a covered patio may need less protection than one installed on an open balcony or deck where rain can reach it directly. Check the rating and outdoor-use guidance on each product page, and choose stronger protection for fully exposed positions.
Warm white light, generally around 2700K–3000K, creates a relaxed atmosphere for dining and conversation. Neutral or cooler light can be useful for task-focused areas, but may feel brighter and less intimate. Confirm the available colour temperature before selecting a variant.
Place light where it supports how the space is used: near doors, seating, dining areas, steps and changes in level. Keep fittings clear of door swings and walking routes, and distribute them evenly enough to reduce dark patches and harsh contrasts.
Compact wall lights, slim linear fixtures or a single appropriately sized pendant can illuminate a small balcony without using valuable floor space. Choose a fitting with limited projection and soft light so it does not obstruct movement or feel overpowering at close range.
Most hardwired outdoor lights should be installed by a qualified electrician. They can confirm that the wiring, mounting surface, earthing and weatherproof seals are suitable for the location. Solar products may be simpler to position, but should still be installed according to their individual instructions.
